The University of the Philippines Manila is the top-performing medical school in the country with a passing rate of 96.97% in the Philippine Licensure Exam (PLE) held last Oct 2024.
Four graduates from the UP-Manila (PGH) placed in the top ten- Jerickson Rodney Cua ranked 3rd (89.17%), Ryan Delfin Encarnacion and Martin Aaron Mamangon tied at 6th (88.3%) and Frances Dominique Ho garnered 7th place (88%).
The Professional Regulation Commission announced on Saturday, October 19, that 3,845 out of 6,600 passed the Physicians (Complete and Prelims) Licensure Examination this October 2024 given by the Board of Medicine in Metro Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Chairman; Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana, Dr. Joanna V. Remo and Dr. Prudencio Z. Sta. Lucia, Jr.
