As a life member, you can avail of THE RESEARCH DISSEMINATION GRANT (RDG).

UPMAS is not only an alumni society but is also an academic community. It also encourages research among its members. Though this benefit, UPMAS tries to promote research among its members. UPMAS gives a little amount for the grant intended to help the recipient with some of his or her expenses as he or she presents the research paper abroad.

One can only be nominated to the above awards if one is a life member. Likewise, the nominator also has to be a life member.

Every year during the homecoming ball, UPMAS gives out at 7 major awards to deserving life members. Five individual awards include the Distinguished Alumnus, Outstanding Alumni in Research, Education, Medical Service, and Community Service. The two group awards are the Class of the Year and the Family of the Year awards. Special individual awards are given to deserving alumni – the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Special Achievement Award.

As a life member, you can avail of the soon to be revived AFFINITY VISA CARD.

Every year, the UP College of Medicine Admissions Committee allots 4 slots, 2 males and 2 females, to deserving children of UPCM alumni. It is the involvement of the parents who are actually evaluated here. One can avail of this slot for his or her child only if he or she is a life member.
